Guess what? Still freakin' snowing....

Ok, so all it does it snow anymore. I will admit I was pretty excited during the first big storm but this is getting stupid. The news reported this morning that Evergreen (my hood) has received 84" of snow over the past 3 weeks or so... AND, it is still snowing. I am not EVEN kidding. Dad wanted to take me out sledding but Mom mentioned something about making sure that Dad didn't lose me in all that snow. I think she was joking but I'm not so sure on that.
You won't believe this: I got to feed Beau last night! I was just sitting in the living room minding my business and Mom brings out this crazy looking machine... they called it a pump or something. Anyways, Mom gets this machine out and says "I am going to make a bottle for you to give Beau" I just HAD to see this. I was certain that she was just trying to mess with me, but after tons of noise and a few minutes, sure enough I was feeding my little brother.

That's all for now... there is a waffle with my name written all over it... Dad just yelled out "Leggo my Eggo" WTF? ...and, now he is laughing at his own joke. Great. I just hope he is isn't this embarrasing when I have friends over.

Later,

BC

P.S.- big shout out to my boy Henry Aaron Johnston who successfully passed his 6 mos. exam. Not an easy task. The doctor calls them "well checks" which I think is German for "big needle coming at ya"...Sorry about the shots man. It sounds like you are doing very well and my Amma (Marilee) says you are one of the cutest babies she has ever seen. You can keep up with Hank's progress by clicking on the Hanks Dream link over there on my links list: DO IT !

Ok... Little Bro isn't so bad

Beau gave me a Zurg action figure when I went to the hospital to see him!! In case you have been living in the Unabomber cabin or something: Zurg is Buzz Lightyear's arch rival in the movie Toy Story (and Toy Story 2, which probably had a better storyline, music, and more action than TS1... oh sorry, I am geting off topic here but I could talk Toy Story all day if given the chance) So, anyways- Zurg is totally cool and he even talks! Are you kidding me? Nice gesture by the baby bro here. He is earning points with me. This may have saved him one less wet willy or a shorter session of chinese water torture in his future. My Uncle Jeff has promised to teach me these indispensable "tools" that all big brothers should know... ok, gotta go: playdoh isn't going to sculpt itself!

My Mama is a "Tough Guy" !

Dad just told me the story of Beau's birth. All I can say is: HOLY CRAP! I thought I was a tough guy, but it seems that Mom is the biggest tough guy in the house!! I have always known she could do anything but this is above an beyond anything I have ever heard of! I can't believe Beau put Mama through all that. Looks like I am still the favorite. Sorry Bro.

NEW RULES...

An Open Letter to my new Brother:

Beau,

I imagine you are surprised that our first real correspondence is over the internet (get used it, it's 2007!) anyways I wanted to get a few things straightened out before you come home today. I promise that I will be a good big brother and not tease you too much, and I will try not to make you cry unless of course you are bugging me. In return I have a few simple rules that I would ask you abide by:
#1: The following toys are off limits- NO EXCEPTIONS! Buzz Lightyear action figures. This includes huge Buzz (pictured above) and medium and tiny Buzzes as well. Also, Woody (pictured) and all of his various incarnations. Pretty much anything that looks like the above toys, no matter the size or condition are not to be touched by little brothers. You will also see that Dash from the movie The Incredibles is pictured as well... again, keep your little drooly, poopy self away from those toys.
#2: The dogs. I will teach you all you need to know about the dogs when you are a little bigger. Let me just say this: Good times! I say all the right things about the dogs to Mom and Dad but every now and again what is wrong with a little tail pull or eye gouge? It's all meant in fun right? Believe me, the dogs must like me or they would stop coming near me, right?
#3: When you are big enough to walk, you MUST do the following. If Mom says it's time to get ready to go somewhere. RUN! Just run away and hide under the kitchen table. You will really thank me for this little gem one day. When she comes to get you, slide to the other side of the table so she can't reach you! I know, it's brilliant huh? sometimes I will giggle when I am doing this. Drives Mom and Dad nuts!

That is all for now, I don't want to load you down with too much info at this time, but with my help you too will be able to navigate the Fairbanks house with utmost success!
Good Luck!

Beau comes home today!

My Dad wanted me to mention how great Mom's Aunt Linda, Cousin Mary and Cousin Ryan are for bringing food to the hospital at Midnight on New Years Eve after Beau was born! That is Linda and Mary in the picture above (sorry Ryan) They brought all sorts of choices and Mama was starving... believe me, you don't mess with my Mom when she is hungry so it is very possible that Linda, Mary and Ryan may have saved my Dad's life.

We are going to the hospital to pick up my brother today. The hospital staff told Mom she would probably be discharged sometime between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. (I think the hospital is run by the same people that own the cable company) Anyways, Beau comes home today and I KNOW what you are thinking: Hide your good toys, Brady Boy! Believe me, I am one step ahead of you there! You should see the toys they have for Beau: it's all stuffed animals and blankets. B O R I N G ! No wonder all babies do is cry- they have the lamest toys ever!

I don't get it...

Ok, first let me say this: This little brother of mine, Beau Patrick... he doesn't really do ANYTHING! The way Mom and Dad and Amma and Pop were carrying on was a tad much for me to watch. You should have seen the way they all jumped when his "Royal Highness" started to cry. I guess I just don't get it. So far, all I have seen him do is open his eyes and then on occasion he will eat. Well, whoopdee frickin' do!!!This is what all the fuss is about? He is cute, I will give him that. Can he jump on the couch? didn't think so! Can he pull the tail darn near off the dogs body? Nope! I don't mean to sound like a brat but I was pooping in the bath tub before this guy was even a glimmer in Dad's eye.

On the way to meet my Little Bro!!

Hey everyone... the above picture is of me in Poppy's truck getting ready to go and meet my new baby brother. Did I mention how cool Poppy's HUGE truck is? I love to go cruising in the truck. It really hauls buns! (sorry, my Mom edits my postings.. "buns" wasn't my first choice)

My brother's name is Beau Patrick Fairbanks! Mom and Dad tell me he was 7 Lbs 10 oz. (whatever that means) and that he is much bigger than I was when I was born... We'll see.

My Little Brother might be here by tomorrow!

Ok, so this is my first blog. My name is Braden Charles Fairbanks. People call me Brady. It is hard to believe that I have never blogged before but Mom and Dad said I had to be 2 years old before I could use the internet. This is a big weekend for our family: my baby brother is supposed to be here by tomorrow! I am excited but a little nervous too. What if he takes a particular liking to my new Buzz Lightyear action figure? What if he drools on one of my books? Where do I stand in all of this exactly? Oh well, tomorrow is a long ways off and besides I get to stay at Amma and Poppy's tonight! YES! Dad says we have to put pictures my brother on here when he comes (why can't he get his own blog?) Stay tuned.
By the way: Yes, that is a Jake Plummer jersey I am wearing in the picture... apparently my parents are the only Bronco fans in the country that didn't see the Cutler era coming! Nice work Dad, were all the Bubby Brister jerseys sold out or something?
