Slow news day...

I was at daycare today (Becky's house) I like to go there and play and since it's only 2 days a week it is a nice break from all the baby talk at home these days. The best part was that Amma picked me up from Beck's today! That was so cool... and she came in Poppy's big truck! then we went to Amma and Pop's house for dinner and met my 'peeps and little bro there. Amma was real nice and even gave me a bath so that Mom and Dad could enjoy a glass of wine.

Here are a couple pics of Beau... he is up to 10.5 LBS ! Mom says he is a "little piggy". He is wearing the clothes that I wore at 3 months even though he is only a month old. Mom and Dad make a big deal out of how big Beau is but I say: SO WHAT!? They only do that because he can't do anything else. Can he talk? NO. Can he run around like a fool? NO. Can he say his ABC's or count to to 10? NO. Whatever.

I'm Audi,

My Harmonica rocks!

As you can tell from the picture: My Cousin Jack thinks that my abilities with the harmonica are out of this world. What kind of parents buy a kid a harmonica? Are they preparing me for a stay in the State Penitentiary or something? Seems weird to me... so what is the best case scenario here? I could maybe annoy people as an adult?

Butterfly Pavillion!

Ok... This was pretty sweet! I held a tarantula today! The spider was named Rosie. As I mentioned earlier, Mom took me to the Butterfly Pavillion (and you thought there was no reason to go to Westminster) Anyways- Mom was a little uncomfortable with the spider so she had to use the zoom to take the picture... I just walked right up and let them set it on me. Spiders are so cool! They had some huge turtles too and lots of butterflies (B O R I N G) I wonder why they don't call that place spider/large bird/turtle pavillion? They would sell more tickets.
That is my bud Max in the picture. He is 4 and I like him a lot.

Out,

Brady

Monday, Monday...

Monday Monday, so good to me,
Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday morning, Monday morning couldn't guarantee
That Monday evening you would still be here with me.

Sorry, got carried away with The Mama's and the Papa's this morning...

BIG NEWS! I am going to the Butterfly Pavillion today with my Mama and our neighbor Kimberly and her little boy Max! I have never been but I hear it is pretty sweet. Butterflies land on your head, birds poop on you, they have tons of snakes AND you get to hold a HUGE spider! I am pretty excited. I will have some pics of the excursion later.

My Papa is staying home with Beau today. All I can say is that he had better have dinner on the table and the house be spotless by the time we get home or there could be trouble...

Stay Classy,

Brady

Happy Birthday Amma!

My Amma has a birthday today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! In order to protect the innocent I am not going to say her age but I will say that she is 58 years older than me. We are going to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Patty's tonight! (I call it Sid and Jack's house) for a party for her. This will be fun. Good news for Amma: they are saying that 60 is the new 40! Which means you get to work for another 25 years years before retiring!

Amma is pretty much dynamite at any age.

My parents are mean.

I don't understand... All I want is for my little brother to sleep in my bed with me at night so I can keep an eye on him. What's the big deal? My bed is huge! There is plenty of room... I really like Beau and Mom is happy because I am real gentle with him. They keep telling me that I can't have him sleep in my bed- something about how he wakes up all the time at night.

Breast-Feeding Advice...

My little brother got another present in the mail today... Mom tells me that I got lots of things sent for me when I was born too but this seems excessive. Anyways- The onesie that Hank's Mama and Dad (Nicki and Aaron) sent for Beau made Mom and Dad die laughing. I don't get the joke so I decided to just post a picture of it here on the 'Ol Blog. Thanks goes out to the Johnston family for the gift though...

Good Night!

P.S.- I saw Dad trying to put the cool new shirt on Beau for the picture but baby bro was hungry and screaming the whole time so Mom came and grabbed him... I don't think he likes my blog.

Chione, Jack Chione

My buddy Jack Chione came over with his Mom and Dad and his little sister Rosalie today. They are all in the pics above.
My Dad makes fun of me because I call him by his full name all the time... but the thing is: my Cousin is named Jack also and he is three years old just like Jack Chione so I have to keep them straight. Anyways, Jack's Mom made us a great dinner! Thanks Holly! Something weird happened though- Dad kept wanting to hold Rosalie and he was smiling at her and she was giggling. Why would he want to snuggle on that little 11 month old girl when he has Beau and I at home? Mom took one look at him with that cute little baby girl and she shook her head and said "Don't even think about it, we aren't having another one..." Not sure what that was about.
Gotta go- I am so tired! Had a great time playing with Jack Chione. Jack Chione is cool. I hope Jack Chione had a good time too.

Welcome to Blogging: Cousin Allison!

Hey Everbody, quick note: My Cousin Ali has her very own blog! There is a link to it over there on the right side of the page. Allison is super nice to me and I would love to see her more but she is very busy... you see, she is a senior in High School now so she spends the majority of her time administering wedgies and swirly's to underclassmen. Don't get me wrong, what she is doing is important work, no doubt... I just miss her sometimes.
Try to be patient with Allison's blog as she is new to this and probably won't update everyday and the pictures will be few and far between for awhile. Baby steps people, Baby steps!
She has a very cool pic on there that uses the Andy Worhol effect... I was impressed. We are expecting big things from this blog.

I NEED one of these...

Have you seen this? The Green Machine?! It was all the rage in 1978 I am told. All I can say is: holy crap! I have to see if Mom or Dad can find one of these bad ass big wheels! All the toys I own either require a helmet- don't get me started on that... or adult supervision (adult supervision = super lame)Apparently in the late 70's the key factor in designing a big wheel was not safety but rather speed and handling. The major big wheel makers were engaged in a big wheel arms race that provided lucky kids all over the country with toys that could travel in excess 50 mph. Can you imagine the speeds I could achieve on the hills around my house?
Fun for the whole family. Don't kid yourself: I am getting one of these.

Big Day!

What a Sunday I am having! First it was Playdoh with Dad... we got the 'Ol Fun Factory out and went to town on making about 60 different species of snake. Dad is a little lazy when it comes to Playdoh on Sunday morning so snakes were as creative as it gets. I feel sorry for kids that don't have Playdoh... someone should look into getting Playdoh to the less fortunate.
Next I got to make cookies with Auntie Ree! That was great. I ate a about 3 cups of chocolate chips (I know this because they were in measuring cups)

You look just like...

Some people say my little brother looks just like Dad... and then again, other people say he resembles Mom. I for one think that Beau looks like every other baby I have ever seen because they all look the same!
That brings me to another thing: Dad told me that one of his clients once told him that he looked just like Kevin James- The guy from the "King of Queens" ! (see photo above) I told Dad not to feel too bad... just because some people think he is a dead ringer for a chubby actor that has hair plugs...

Ree to the rescue!

Mom's friend Ree is here from Albuquerque (Arriba!) for a week... and I hope she stays longer because Mom and Dad are both in a great mood since she got here- something about being tired and appreciating some help. The other cool thing is that Ree plays with me and brought me a HUGE case of Playdoh that I have been putting to good use. Ree lived close to Mom when she was growing up in New Mexico and her family was like a second family to my Mom. Not sure why, but when I say Albuquerque I just want to speak Spanish.

I have more pics- see ya soon!

Call O.S.H.A. ! My bed could be a hazard.

I have had my "big boy bed" for a while now but it was always just a box spring and mattress on the floor. Well, get this: before bed tonight my crazy parents decide to get out the bed frame and put it together in my room! Cool, right? well..... the bed is taller than me! This seems a little dangerous to me. I overheard Dad saying something about how in the 70's when he was growing up that his Mom and Dad smoked like chimneys, didn't bother with all the "kid proofing" we do now, and your only defense in a traffic accident was your Mom's arm... so he figures I will be fine with my 5 foot tall bed.

My baby brother had his first bath!

Well, Beau finally had his first bath tonight! After 2 weeks at home the remainder of his cord finally dried up and fell off (I know, gross huh?) and so he could get wet. Anyways, Mom and Dad give me a bath every other night so I can imagine that after 2 weeks the little bugger had to be smelling pretty funky. Mom did the majority of the bath work and I helped out... Dad just sort of stood there like a dope with that camera of his. Beau didn't have much fun with his first bath- he mostly cried and turned super red. Mom seemed pleased that he didn't whiz in her face, so that's a good thing I guess.

Weekend stuff...

Mom's friend Nicole came over this weekend (that is her with Beau- you will notice me in the background, pretending to eat my pears) I have a little trouble with saying N I C O L E... so I just call her Mickle. Not sure why that name gets me because I can pretty much say everyhting else I need to say. Dad says I can say too much... and that I am "full of it", but I am not sure what that means.

It was nice to see Nicole.

Have a great day.

Brady

Monday...

Mom, Dad and I took Beau to the Doctor for his 2 week checkup. He sure goes to the Doc a lot. Anyways, Dr. Campbell says Beau is doing great and he is now up over 8 lbs! (which is good I guess) he lost 12 ounces in the days after he was born and was down around 7 lbs. so he has gained back the weight he lost and then some. Momma says he is a little "piggy"... I feel bad for him though, he just has to sit with Mom and drink milk all day. I prefer pancakes, eggs, cereal and stuff like that. Looks like I am a bit of a little piggy myself.

The picture is of me chopping my veggies. I love that toy!

Weekend for the dogs...

Sorry... should have let my little "diggity dogs" pick the NFL game today.... Every underdog covered the spread in the Divisional playoffs this weekend and 2 won out-right.

Ok, it's bath time!

IncrediBOY !

Incrediboy here!

As you know by now this winter has been pretty harsh... with that being said, the 'peeps allowed me to wear my Mr. Incredible costume today because I was getting a little bored... and I wore it ALL DAY. I wore it for lunch, nap, dinner, and then threw a major fit when it was time to put on my PJ's for bed. Can you blame me? I look pretty sweet in this outfit and as I am sure you are aware: super-heroes are on call 24/7.

BTW: go get a second mortgage and put it all on the Colts +4

Chat later,

Brady

Sunday Notes...

Ok first up: Seahawks at Da' Bears

PASS.
No play on this game. Poor Bears coach Lovie Smith... choosing between Rex Grossman and Brian Griese is like deciding if you'd rather have gonorrhea or syphilis (thanks to Fred for that contribution) The Seahawks are injured in many key areas. This game could be UGLY. I might break out the playdoh or my Mr. 'tato heads...

Brady

This winter is buggin' me...

Hey- Brady here! First off: You are welcome for the Colts free money pick yesterday! Colts +4 ? are you kidding? the Ravens offense was lucky to even score 4 points. Hopefully all of your pockets are lined with cash.

Now on to the topic at hand. This is the worst winter I can ever remember. This is my 3rd Winter and this pretty much blows (pun intended) we have had FEET of snow, sub-zero temps, and crazy wind that closed the highway in Evergreen. What next? Locusts? It is snowing again, and a balmy 12 degrees as compared to the last few days ZERO degrees.

Looks like a good day to stay in and watch the NFL... I am crunching the numbers for free money pick #2 right now...

See Ya,

Brady

Kick back, relax: Free money is on the way!

Ok. This is a new segment to Brady's Blog: FREE MONEY NFL FOOTBALL PICKS! I realize it is a little unorthodox for a 2 yr. old to give gambling advice but just stay with me here- this is all about you- dear reader and adding cash (also known as "cake") to your pocket. Here we go. Home teams are in ALL CAPS.

Indianapolis Colts vs. B-MORE RAVENS (-4)
I am calling this game: "Suspicious Minds"
This is a matchup of opposing styles and strengths. Colts head coach Tony Dungy is brilliant defensive coach with a sub-par defense and great offense- while Ravens coach Brian Billick is known as a great offensive coach that has a great defense and average offense. Go figure. A wise gambler once told me to seek out popular public opinion... then go the other way. The "public" is firmly in the Ravens corner on this game, and why not? A great defense against a Colts team that has shown the willingness to pull a major choke job every year in the playoffs. The odds makers are trying to get you to take the Ravens and lay the points. It is interesting that for each of the past 3 seasons the Colts have been THE team most everyone favored to win it all. Now they are not even considered good enough to get to the AFC Championship? what happened? Key matchup that you may not have considered: Colts Defensive end Dwight Freeney vs. Ravens All-world offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden. Ogden is 6'9" and 345lbs. while Freeney (6'1" 268) is considered a speed rusher. In a regular season game in 2004 Freeney abused Ogden with the outside rush and had 2 sacks and several hits on the QB. The Ravens will have to keep a running back in to "chip" at Freeney in passing situations, making their offense even more predictable and boring than it has been in the regular season if that is even possible. If the Colts defense can put the Ravens in 3rd and long situations it will be a very long day for Ogden and the Ravens Offense. One more thing to consider: Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri is as clutch a playoff performer as we have seen in the last 10 years. I say Vinatieri wins this on a late field goal 27-24.
The first free money pick of the playoffs is the Colts +4. It pains me to have to root for Peyton Manning who I think is a first class A-hole. Just watch Manning when there is a incompletion on a key play... he waves his arms and immediately yells at his receiver. On the other hand, Ravens QB Steve Mcnair is a professional, a tough guy, and deserves a championship... but, alas I don't think it's meant to be this year- the Colts are the barking dog today.

By the way: I am not sure who I like less: Peyton Manning (see above) or Ravens Coach Brian Billick who is as smug as they come and I get the feeling that he always thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. Well Brian, maybe you should use some of your massive intellect to work on that crappy offense of yours.

Good Luck- I may have more picks later,

Brady

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIDNEY!

My Cousin Sid is 7 years old today!! Happy B-day girl... I hope you have a really fun day (even though it is ZERO degrees outside!) We got you a present and it is a ___________
Sorry, Mom just hijacked the keyboard- I guess I'm not allowed to say what the present is....
Sid is always so nice to me. Dad says that some people are just naturally sweet and kind and that Sidney is one of those people. I can't argue with that!

Today is also Dad's buddy Aaron's Birthday! So, Happy Birthday to Aaron too! He is 30 somethin' so he doesn't get a picture of himself up here. Speaking of of the pics: the ones with the helmets are from the bike rodeo that Sid, Jack and I went to this summer (fun) and then that is Sid as a vampire from Halloween. She sort of scared me.

Out of my face, Beeyatch!

Ok, I have added the first video to my page!!! This is a historic posting. It is on the very bottom of the page because it was too big and messed with the rest of my blog... please scroll down. I had to get Dad to help with this part and he of course, jacked it all up. As you can see- it is way over to the right of the page, not sure why... I asked Dad why he couldn't just move it a 1/2 inch to the left but he just stomped off all red-faced and grabbed a beer. (nice show of patience Dad, great example for me...) I don't like him jerking with the integrity of my blog but nonetheless the video pretty much kicks some booty. This video shows my first brush with the annoying paparrazzi. This guy is lucky I had my nap that day or that scene could have gotten UGLY. Enjoy.

I had a terrible dream.

ZingFu

You won't believe this! I had a dream that I was the offspring of gazillionaire Actor/Crazy person Tom Cruise and marginal actress yet hottie Katie Holmes. YIKES! This really brings things into perspective... I am lucky to be where I am, although I would have loved to have had that luxurious head of incredibly thick black hair. Oh well...

Not your normal Tuesday!

Today My Aunt Kelly and Uncle Art"tiste" came by and they even went to Costco and picked up a few things for Mom and Dad! That was really nice... but here is a little secret I have decided to let you in on: My Dad hasn't left the house since last Thursday! Come on, that is nearing a week... are you kidding me? I will say, I understand we have a new family member and all... but still, I am concerned that my Father is a loser!

It was really nice to see Aunt Kelly and Uncle Tiste even though I was coughing and sneezing all over them. Sorry... I am just a snot nosed kid.

C Ya,

Brady

P.S.- Yes, Kelly and Art apparently have a family dress code . I think it's cute.

The debate rages on...

This is tough... it's the age old debate: Cars The Movie VS. The Incredibles. When I want to watch a movie Dad will usually set both movies out so that I can choose. Not an easy task. Picking between these two films is like choosing between Jessica Alba and Jessica Simpson- you really can't lose but it doesn't make the choice any easier. By the way, one of Dad's buddy's gave me this great piece of advice: when choosing between 2 girls of equal attractiveness, always pick the one with low self esteem. Anyways, the obvious solution to my problem is to get a second DVD player and then I could watch both movies at the same time! Brilliant! My folks say that ain't happenin'... whatever.

I am out.

Sunday notes...

Ok First off: The pics from top to bottom are:

1. Kalyn with Beau and I. (notice how she is trying not to check me out? It is obvious)
2. Mark and Diane With Beau
3. Cousin Mary with Beau
4. Beau with Beau

It was a pretty laid back day today... the Mikkelson's came by this morning and brought us some dinner- which was great! Their daughter Kalyn used to watch me sometimes when I was little(r) and she is home from Creighton University so I was very excited to see her! and Kris and Jennifer too. I secretly have a crush on Kalyn but the timing just isn't right- seeing that I am 2 yrs. old and she is 19 or 20.. maybe in 4 or 5 years she won't think of me as such a little kid anymore and I can work my magic on her.
The next visitors were Mark and Diane Ryan and they brought ME some very cool huge crayons and a great coloring pad. It's nice that so many people have been coming to see me. They are somewhat interested in the new baby as well but I know they are just using the birth of my brother as an excuse to come see me.
And, to cap off the night Mom's cousin Mary came and she brought me some presents too! This new baby thing is great.

Swaddle me too!

Little Bro and I both got wrapped like burritos to stay warm... this was pretty fun.

Dude, it's waaaaaaay past my bedtime.

I'm out,

Our trash-man is lazy

Look at the above picture...What is that? You got it: 2 trash cans! Why the trash guy wouldn't take those I have no idea! What does Dad have to do? write PLEASE TAKE on them? I will tell you this: If I grow up to be a sanitation worker I won't let 4 or 5 feet snow get in the way of me doing my job.

2 postings today! Lucky you...

Late,

BCF

This just in...

It looks like Beau is going to be here forever... I am feeling like Mom and Dad sort of pulled a fast one on me here. That is my cousin Sidney feeding him by the way- she is super nice to me and even asks to sit by me when we all go out to eat. Anyways, it looks like this whole brother thing is a permanent deal. Nobody told me this. I kind of thought he would visit for a few days and then go back where he came from. Oh well, he doesn't really do anything anyways. I didn't know that all he would do is sleep and poop, we could have just got ourselves another dog for that.
Today Dad and I are watching football and Mom and Beau are sleeping. Football tends to make Mom very tired. I like it though, mostly because Dad gets real loud and fired up and thinks he knows more than the guys that get paid millions of dollars to play/coach the game. Good humor. Plus, Dad will let me tackle him on the floor and I could play tackle for 4 hours without a break.

Later,
