Gambling: It's not a problem if you're winning.

Mom and Dad are a little concerned about me. I didn't want to play with anything else at Uncle Jeff's house but the slot machine he has in the basement. I don't see the problem here... I was on a roll! I put a lot of time in to that machine and I was going to see it through.

Here an elk, there an elk...

Here are the elk from this morning- they have been pretty busy lately. I prefer deer to elk... but that's just me.

Sunday...

The picture is of Poppy and Beau at Jack's Birthday. For whatever reason the picture I have of Jack shrinks up real small when I tried to put it on the blog? not sure what that is all about...

Jack's party was fun! The adults were very loud. Momma was acting funny and so was Amma... I am pretty sure they both have headaches this morning. Jack got all sorts of cool things... mostly cars from the movie Cars. It was a good night.

Ok, gotta go... there are elk on the yard!

Spring Snow...

What a crazy storm... the snow came down fast and furious and the roads were pretty crappy. From the looks of it- I won't be playing with my little basketball hoop on the deck today.

Amma and Pop came over to play with me today. It was pretty fun... I did some puzzles with Amma.

Looking forward to Jack's Birthday cake tonight!

Root-Beer Hat!

Spent the morning running around the house with an empty root-beer twelve pack on my head. I know, I know: TOTALLY HILARIOUS! I laughed the entire time... I think Dad was starting to get tired of it. What am I supposed to do? I was excited to go outside with Dad and ride bikes today but it is snowing hard, almost scary hard snow fall (wicked hard for those of you from Boston) so, playing outside is not an option today.

***Tonight is Cousin Jack's 4th Birthday Party! I can't wait! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (couple days late) JACKIE!

Brady

P.S. Fish sticks and tater tots for lunch is good for you, right? It must be, because nothing tastes better. I like to dip them in ketchup AND ranch. Dad finds that gross.

Teaching little bro the "ropes"

I decided to climb in Beau's crib and show him how everything works. In my mind the crib still belongs to me, even though I have a regular bed now. There was a lot to go over: The aquarium, the mobile, the railing. I was telling him that some day he will try to climb out and will most likely hit the ground pretty hard when he falls. Don't despair little bro! It's all part of growing up!

If you're gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band, (advice for Addison)

Wine anyone?

Amma and Poppy came over the other night and had a couple glasses of wine... Mom and Dad started wine "tasting" at 3:30 so they were in good spirits. Momma really hasn't had much to drink since Beau arrived so it appeared she was having a good old time!

I love it when Amma and Pop come over... I get excited and run around for about the first 15-30 minutes.

BREAKING NEWS: Bunny rescued

Call off the search. "noonie" has been recovered. All is well.

Spring?!

This winter has been pretty bad... BUT... maybe we are getting a little nice weather pay-back? I am very excited, we are going to the park today! I can't wait. Today is Dad's last week day off before he starts work on Monday. We have all sorts of stuff planned today!!

Meet me at the monkey bars!

I need a lawyer...

I am so mad right now. I want to file a lawsuit against my Dad for wrongful nap, false imprisonment, and grand theft bunny. Allow me to explain: We went to Costco today to get some diapers, wipeys, and formula for Beau.

First the wrongful nap charge: We get home from Costco (I didn't want to go in the first place) and Dad takes me STRAIGHT to my room for a nap! Are you kidding?! I wanted to play with some toys (Thomas the Train and his buddy Percy) for a few moments before my nap! Is that too much to ask?! Where is my due process?! Next, the false imprisonment charge: When I showed him the toys and explained my position (see exhibits A and B in the photos above) Dad just said "take a nap" and locked me in my room and took away the toys. I am able to get the door open but they put this little round thingy on the door handle to keep me in my room, held hostage!!! I hate that baby proofing crap! I decided to just yell so I screamed out "you take a nap, I don't want to!" I was trying to appeal to Dad's sense of fairness. I don't tell him when to sleep. How do they expect me to get anything done with all of these naps?! Next is the charge of grand theft bunny: I was kicking the door (what was I supposed to do?) and Dad comes in and takes away my favorite snuggle animal, my bunny... I call the bunny "noonie", that's his name. Noonie is a bunny but not all bunny's are noonies... anyways- he swiped it. I am pissed!

**The photos above pretty much tell the story. As you can see I was willing to discuss the matter in a mature and reasonable way. Then I showed him what I planned to play with. Despite all of this evidence he still would not negotiate in good faith so I went to plan B, the nuclear option. If all else fails, throw a major fit!

I demand justice!

Cool!

I was at Becky's yesterday... pretty normal day. It was 60 degrees so we got to go outside. Sometimes Becky will leave the door open and let me and Lucas, the other "bigger" kid go outside (her yard is completely fenced and has tons of toys) So we played for an hour or so then came in for nap. After the nap Becky called me over to the window and pointed out a bobcat in the yard! INSIDE the fence! I thought this was the coolest thing I had ever seen but when Becky talked to Dad about it when he picked me up, they didn't seem to share my enthusiasm. Now we can't play outside unless Becky is near by... bummer. That bobcat seemed pretty cool. I have decided to call him "Robert", he seemed nice.

Fun Weekend!!!

We got back from Phoenix yesterday... what a fun weekend we had!! Phoenix was really nice and I got to go swimming... BUT... the airplane was AWESOME! I can't get over it. I guess I have flown several times already but I don't remember the other trips. After we landed on the way out, I saw the pilot and I said "Great job! Good landing!" and he asked if I wanted to see the cockpit and he let me sit on his lap! (I think Dad was bummed he didn't get to sit on the pilot's lap- snooze you lose!) Big thanks to Frontier Airlines, yes they lost a bag on the way back but they made up for it with DirecTv on the flights.

Have a great day,

Goin' to Phoenix!

Well, It finally happened... this winter has made us lose our effing minds!! The parentals booked a last minute trip to Phoenix the other day... we leave this afternoon. I for one, am pretty jazzed about going on the airplane! I guess I have been on a plane a few times but I really don't remember, was I loaded or something? Can't wait to do some swimming!! There is a good chance that our family's overall chalky white-ness could have a us banned from the pool area but we will take our chances. I needed a some help in spelling Phoenix... that word makes very little sense. Spell check had a heck of a time with "Feenux".

Just a couple days out of the snow and maybe we won't all be so constantly annoyed? This mini-vacay will have to do until things aren't so crazy at home and we can take a REAL vacation to Wall, South Dakota to visit Wall Drug. FREE ICE WATER!!

Big thanks to Uncle Jeff (the travel master) as he hooked us up BIG TIME on the hotel and rental car!! Thanks!

The weather is here, I wish you were beautiful,

Nap, schmap!

No real nap today. Well, I did fall asleep finally as you can see... one hand down my pants (got to make sure your "cash and prizes" are safe) and the other one behind my head while I was watching TV. You can kind of see my red, dry, cheeks... Mom and Dad have tried prescriptions for it, been to the doctor several times and it just seems to come back every time. Dad asked the Doctor what will cure it and Dr. Campbell said: "Spring".... yeah, thanks Doc. My skin doesn't enjoy all this dryness of the Winter.

I had a play date today over at our neighbors, Max and Ben's house. That was super fun and also the reason for no nap... but I say- who cares? nap schmap! it was fun!

Library Hijinks...

Hey y'all... Dad took me to the library yesterday and we picked out some good books. I got one about Maisy the Mouse and another one about a kid named Max that is a super-hero!!!

BUT... we got in a little bit of a hurry and Dad grabbed a couple other books real quick. Last night Mom starts reading one of these books called "King and King" and all of a sudden starts to laugh hysterically... here is the plot: The Prince is about to become a King and needs to find a Princess, only this particular Prince isn't all that enthused about the ladies... after much deliberation he marrries another Prince and they live happily ever after as "King and King"... hard to believe Dad didn't figure it out based on the title alone but he contends that he really wasn't expecting an "alternative lifestyle" (not that there is anything wrong with that) CHILDREN'S BOOK!!! Mom nearly pee'd when she got to the wedding page... This book was tucked in right next to Clifford the Big Red Dog and Dr. Seuss... Look, I am a tolerant toddler as far as other lifestyles go, but maybe we should wait to learn about same-sex marriage until the 1st grade?!?!?!?!?

Dinner with Amma and Pop!

Mom and Dad were supposed to go out to dinner last night but once again the snow was a flyin'.... big surprise. So we ended up eating over at Amma and Poppy's house. To me, it's better than any restaurant but I am clearly biased.

We had a great time. I ran around the house like a crazy person and the rest of them drank wine and got increasingly louder as the night wore on... good times.

Have a goody,

Brady

Brady's Dad here... I found something I had to share. Go to this link: http://www.komotv.com/news/local/6102846.html (sorry, you will have to paste it to your browser- I couldn't get the blog link thing to work) Anyways, this woman in the State of Washington taught her children to fake retardation in order to collect Social Security disability. I am not sure if she is a genius or if she is just plain evil... maybe both? an evil genius?!?!?!

"Come on, get in character you little tards! Mommy needs some new shoes!"

I know, I know... I am going to hell.

4 Shots!

Beau got 4 shots yesterday at his 2 month check up... poor guy. He was a little fussy last night but is getting better. Dad said he only cried a little at the Doctor's office. I have been extra nice to him since I know what those vaccines are all about! Here are Beau's current stats: He weighed in at 11 lbs 10 oz. and the Doc says he is doing great. I was 10 lbs 5 oz. at my 2 month check.... little bro ain't so little!!!!
